Lush Longboards has just put the finishing touches to a select range of high-end composite boards – the S-Flex cruiser, Revolution topmount speedboard and the Hornet Slalomboard. Using a selection of materials, layups and shapes, each optimised for the board’s intended function, together with features such as adjustable wheelbases and sharp rails, these boards make the most of the superiorities of composite deck construction over a standard wood layup. 
S-Flex Cruiser A flexy, responsive commuter/slalom board, a super-light composite constuction equals plenty of strength and a springy flex, giving a fast, pumpy ride. We’ve used a cambered v-lam core and fibreglass sheets top and bottom to give a springy board that holds it’s flex for ages. Adjustable wheelbase means you can adjust the flex to suit your weight. Hornet Slalom Concave with a slight camber, relatively stiff flex makes this a perfect tight slalom deck. Horizontally laminated poplar core with fibreglass outers keeps this light and stiff, concave keeps the foot placement secure, and an adjustable wheelbase gives you options on the hill. Revolution Speedboard We gave our French rider Jojo Martinez his first Spooky deck last year, and next time we saw him he’d added a layer of fiberglass to the bottom, mounted the trucks topmount and chopped a few inches off the tail. So we thought we’d better make him a new deck – and here it is. The Revolution is topmount gives a contollable drift and excellent traction. A V-Lam ash/poplar core with plenty of glass keep the deck as light and stiff as we could make it, plus deep concave, adjustable wheelbase, sharp edges for more grip - this thing was born on twisty alpine roads and it shows.
