(All of you needing the English version should scroll down...there is the complete original interview.)

BM: Was war euer ausgefallenstes Sprayer-Projekt bisher?

Was sagt Ihr dazu?

AY: Thanks for the interview big up and dont forget keep smilling!

Here is the English Version...

Armu-Yama Interview

Pariz One and Mr. Dheo are big names in the graffity-scene. Together, they are called Armu-Yama.

BM: You both are real stars within the graffity-scene, you perform on international festivals and you establish projects for well-known clients, on your facebook pages you have more than 100.000 friends. When you think of graffity, you think of people going out at night to spray on bridges or walls and taking care not to get caught. How did you start your career?

AY: Our careers as individuals start by painting at night on illegal walls and all kinds of spots, with time and recognition councils and privates start to give us walls and commission jobs, with our age we see all different but steel understanding the kids that go bombing at night because there aren´t opportunities to them to paint legal walls, this is why we are helping our councils in Lisbon and Porto to legalize some walls to them in our cities and on some other cities across Europe.

BM: How have you managed to be one of the demanded artists who even sprayed for Adidas in Dubai once?

AY: We think that is reflex of what we create and do around the globe, people follow us in ours websites and social media from there to invite us to do some cool project´s it’s just a step.

In the same month we can be in the middle of the War painting in the border between Gaza and Israel, and some days later flying to Dubai where the only wars are between the big brands and who have the biggest and finest building.

BM: You have designed the new graphics for the Boardmagdecks, how did you get this idea?

AY: The featuring between Armu-Yama and Boardmag Decks came naturally, skaters are integrated part of our world, they belong to the streets as we do, a skate park without graffiti it´s like a house without roof, and we are more than happy to be part of their boards now.

BM: Are you skateboarding yourself or do you have a special affinity to it?

AY: I think that both of us spend some time in the skate parks with friends that skate, we in particularly never skate, but we have some crew mates that did it and do, our tricks are used on walls where our friends do tricks with skate.

BM: What was your most unusual sprayer-project?

AY: We have some, but the most unusual for sure was the one that we just came few days ago, we were painting in the Middle East between borders, and in war zones.

We try to make people´s life´s better by painting their walls, giving some colors and hope to theirs life´s.

BM: Have you ever had a conflict with the law because of your graffities?

AY: In the beginning yes, Mr. Dheo has been in court and Pariz in jail for a short period, now the law is behind us while we paint to protect and serve us, it´s a funny world!

BM: Many projects of Mr.Dheo show famous personalities such as Christiano Ronaldo or the Pope. What is so attractive about immortalizing well-known people in graffities?

AY: Graffiti is all about showing what you feel and express yourself, when a personality is painted can be a personal interest, a tribute, or giving to people someone to look on the wall when they pass by and think about that person as a role model for their lives, this way make them believe on them self’s and think about their life´s.

BM: Do you have a content or political message you want to express with your graffities?

AY: It all depend of the situation, and place that we are, normally we do our style, the first concerning is the esthetic of it, in other walls, cities or places the message comes first.

BM: You are part of the Graffiti-Connection Graffiti-Beasts, who design everything from speakers to t-shirts and skateboards.

AY: Pariz was one the mentors of the brand, and of course bring us as a collective to participate on this project, the project is very truly to the real graffiti and to those who do it, the brand keep it real in all senses.

BM: What are your plans for the future and what are you particulary wishing for?

AY: Well we wish that next year can be at least as good as this year, and we can reach more new places in this world that start´s to being little.

BM: Graffiti-Beasts is sometimes seen as the total commercialization of graffity. For some people this means the rejection of the „underground“. What do you think of that?

AY: The problem of mainstream and commercialization are in the way that people grow their projects and brands, sometimes they want to do it so fast that they forgot the roots, if you want to keep it underground do it with the persons that start or keep the movement alive, if they give their faces or their work to a brand it’s because they believe on what they do and how they will push it on a sustainable growing way to keep it real.

BM: Thanks for the interview.....

AY: Thanks for the interview big up and dont forget keep smilling!
